Each Module compiled for The MajorBBS or Worldgroup was built against the Galacticomm SDK using Borland C++. With each new version, new APIs were added that enabled new features. Modules could be backwards compatible by targeting APIs that were available in all BBS versions. For example, a Module compiled with the Worldgroup 2.0 SDK could still support MajorBBS 6.25 by only using APIs that are common between both. Using an API Report provided by MBBSEmu, we're able to identify this API support level and let you know which versions of The MajorBBS and Worldgroup support v3.00 of The Forbidden Lands Part 3: The Islands of Dawn
In a far off place, a world beyond this time and dimension, is a plane we call the Forbidden Lands. This world is huge, many times the size of our own. On it, the art of magic was never lost, as on our own world, and men and women of power walk the land. The elder races still exist here. Dwarves, elves, gnomes and more live side by side with humans. Sandwiched between the two great northern and southern continents, the Strait of Blue Mists connects the Darkling Sea to the west and the Sea of Morphus to the east. This stretch of water is busy carrying commerce and travellers between the two land masses and among the many small islands that dot the seas. Not all seafarers follow an honest trade though. The waters are also home to pirates and brigands of all types, who live off the spoils of their victims. Best known of these is the pirate king Denholm Hart. This buccaneer has been a thorn in the side of the kingdoms of the coasts for decades. He does however follow his own strange code of honor. No vessel that surrenders is sunk or its crew murdered out of hand. Instead, their goods are taken and the crewmen are let off on the nearest beach. And woe to all freebooters who think to prowl Hart's domain. They are dealt with summarily; ending up as sacrifices to the dark gods of the seas.
